New House, New Job

There has been a change in our closing date due to some major blessings but, we are getting closer and closer to closing on our house. Also another change is that Nick starts his new job!! Nick will be working in a shrimp hatchery in Palm City. This is a great opportunity that God has opened for our family. Nick will be working a normal 40 hour week and will be able to put his aquaculture degree to good use! We are both excited and so grateful for a new season.

Fun Florida Tymes

We got our house!! Praise the Lord!! We start moving in this week. To start our hectic moving week on a relaxing note, we decided to have a nice Sunday afternoon at the beach. Erin and Chris were able to join us and we had a good O' Floridian time building a huge sandcastle and tanning. After wards we headed to our apartment for a nice and very delicious cook out.  We had pompano, some squash topped with sweet onions, potatoes, and a very colorful salad!

Nick's Grad party!!

Our small group decided to celebrate Nick's graduation by having a bar-b-que/pool party! We had a very fun time swimming and playing water volleyball. It was a nice touch to the weekend. Since Nick LOVES ice cream (just like his dad)I was able to get an ice cream cake from Marble Slab Creamery. It had yellow cake on the bottom with a layer of vanilla ice cream mixed with real strawberries and then on top a layer of chocolate ice cream mixed with pieces of brownies. It was really cute and delicious! Of course, it was fish themed... even the sprinkles were tiny fish. Over all, Nick's graduation weekend was a ton of fun thanks everyone!!

Graduation time!

Nick was a part of the largest (over 1800) and first graduating class from IRSC! The temperature was really hot but by evening it was beautiful. The stadium was full so you can only imagine the roar of the crowd when the grads entered the stadium. Our friends Erin and Chris were able to join me to cheer Nick on. Family and friends you were missed, but we know that you were there in spirit! :)

A nice country club brunch!

We have had the pleasure to have Grandpa and Grandma Johnson near by. We have enjoyed great dinners, fishing, and afternoon conversations with them. Since the weather is warming up in Michigan they are heading back. Before they left Grandma Johnson took us out to show us the new club house along with brunch. It was delicious! I had a mix of some fresh fruit and eggs while Nick dug right into the beacon, egg, and potato omelets. We will sure miss Grandma and Grandpa Johnson's presence but we look forward to seeing them again come this fall!
