Nick’s birthday weekend

To celebrate Nick’s 23rd birthday, we went camping with our small group. We along with 5 other couples got to spend 2 nights and 2 ½ days in Sebastian (about 30mins north of where we live). Since Nick and I had never camped in Florida, one of the couples blessed us by letting us stay with them in their air conditioned RV. We had a lovely time fishing, kayaking, bicycling riding, and eating lots and lots of food.  Nick enjoyed his time fishing on the river and caught a couple of sea trout’s and lots of catfish. There were two birthdays that weekend so, one of the wives made a giant birthday cake/brownie which was to die for. We praise God for blessing us with another year of life and the friendships we have developed within our small group!

We are out of BOXES!!!

Well, we are now moved in and all the boxes, bubble wrap, and piles of trash are GONE!!! It has . been a long -tiring month but, summer is here and we have slowly transformed our home to start looking the way we want it to.  This will be an on-going slow process but we are just excited to have begun. Our jobs and life itself are going very well. Nick is loving his new job. The 1 hour drive has become a nice drive for Nick and since summer is here my hours have been cut pretty much in half so I have time to now go to the library, sew, and keep our home nice and clean! We are so content with our home and we are constantly amazed what God is doing in our lives.

Wendy gets a hobby

I have been praying for God to reveal a new hobby in my life and He did just that. I am now sewing! I actually used to sew when I was little. My great-grandma Chole was a seamstress and used to help me make Barbie clothes when I went to visit. I remember having a lot of fun and just enjoying sitting at the table cutting out fabrics and producing a tiny Barbie outfit, of my choice! Nick got my a very nice Husqvarna sewing machine for my birthday. Since then I have been taking some sewing classes and slowing getting the hang of it. Nick and I were able to get a handful of patterns at JoAnns for a very cheap price! They were having an store opening sale and I got to choose over 20 patterns! So far I have one under my belt and that is an apron. Nick now has a really cool apron to wear while he cooks and by request, I am in the process of making another apron for him to wear at work for when he makes food for the shrimp!

Moving Day!

Alright, so we are now in our house and everything is slowly getting in it's place!! Boy is moving quite the task. We have definitely learned at lot from the move. We managed to get out of our apartment on time thanks to Grandma Johnson opening her home to us. After about a week of moving things out of storage we are able to now come home to a nice clean and semi-organized home!! We were able to make an IKEA roadtrip to get a couple of much needed things for our home. We are really excited to get into a "normal" routine that does not consist of moving things out of boxes! We now have a new address but, for the sake of privacy we will not post it on to here, so if you want it just email me at swmrfrog2006@yahoo.com. I'll post some pictures of our new decorated home in the next post... but for now here are some fun moving pictures for you to enjoy! :D
