Working for a bank has its perks because we get to learn how to make the most out of our account and it's benefits. We were able to take advantage of these benefits and earned enough points to receive a Lowe's gift card that allowed us to begin part 1 of our backyard transformation. :)

Dad got to join us for dinner last week during a quick visit. It was such a treat to have him! :D

Looking for the Milkman...

As we continue to stride towards living a greener lifestyle, keeping our milk in a 1 gallon glass bottle is the perfect solution for plastic free milk and it also encourages us to recycle the milk jugs. :)

Happy 1 Year!

I am happy to say that I have successfully finished my first year of employment at PNC. Upon arriving to work, I received a warm welcome, lots of thank you's, and balloons. :)

To Bee or not to Bee...

Nick and I have been discussing the idea of bee keeping. That's right, bees. To start preparing for our bee adventure Nick has begun the wood working process of building hives. We are just at the"bee"ginning, but we are excited to learn and move forward with this next Vander Sys adventure! :)
