Camping Trip 2011

For President's weekend, Nick and I, along with Chris and Erin, got to venture off into the wilderness for some good o' camping. We went to Hammock Highland Campgrounds in Seabring, Florida. We got to pitched Nick's two person tent and got to go on some really neat hike trails. During our hikes we got to see some really big oak trees, orange grooves and we even saw an alligator sunning itself near the water. We had perfect camping weather while we were there; 80's during the day and mid 50's at night with very little humidity. Everything went very well and we look forward to some more "winter" camping adventures. :)

Nick successfully completed his first US Solar Institution course. Nick had a great time and really excelled in his class! Nick will soon be going back to complete another 40 hour course in the next month or so. :)

A nice surprise!

Nick and I were enjoying our time at home doing our normal morning routine when we received a phone call from Uncle Jeff. He was down for a day and wanted to see us. We were very excited to be able to spend some time with him and to welcome him in to our Vander Sys home. We had some great conversations, laughs, and overall, a memorable time. :)

A new smile in the making...

The time has come and Wendy has been blessed with braces. :)
