Nick goes Shrimping!

Nick got to travel to the Georgia/Florida boarder to help shrimp. What they do is, they get on a giant shrimp boat (those are the pictures above) and go several miles offshore and fish for shrimp. They use a down rigger that allows them to scrap the bottom for shrimp in 15 minuet incriminates. They then bring up the giant net and sort through all kinds of sea stuff for shrimp. Nick said they caught a bunch of sea trout, star fish, flounder, puffers, crabs, and other interesting things. They brought home over 60 lbs of live shrimp… which according to Nick wasn’t a lot but, it was enough to make the trip worth while. Nick had a great time and learned a lot. It was a great experience for him and he excited to be chosen by the “Big Whigs” to join in on the adventure.
