Mother’s day surprise!

This year for Mother’s day. Nick brought home 11 chicks! 8 of them are bluff norphingtons and 3 of them are Bardrocks (the same as our black and white girls). 8 of the chicks were about 2 days old and the other 3 were 3 weeks old. As you can see 3 weeks apart makes a real different in chickens! For the first couple of days we keeped the 11 chicks inside in a box which we placed a screen over them. Mahi and Mako loved having the chicks. They would jump on the screen and watch them for hours! After a couple of days inside, Nick built them a little coop in our screened porch and we put them outside. Once we can sex them, we will keep a total of 6 girls and sell the rest. Right now they are doing great and before we know it, all the girls will be enjoying the main chicken coop together.

So cute! :) Hope you're having fun with them! It's funny to see the cats starring at them like that. Do they have a relationship like Sylvester and Tweety-bird? :) We need to talk soon girly! Miss you! xoxoxo
